There was a recent commissioning of the Faecal Sludge Management Facility in Kiboga. The exercise was conducted by commissioner for Ministry of Water and Environment, Eng. Richard Matua

The inspection of the project showed how the works starting from where the cesspool truck empties sewerage, how it moves through the treatment process to final destination where its discharged to the wetland.

Mr. Richard appreciated the facility and because of the effluent discharged in the wetland with papyrus vegetation allows further treatment, he ranked it to be one of the best that is being constructed.

He further requested that the CAO Kiboga organise another commissioning where the President of the Republic of Uganda would be present.

In attendance was a team of engineers from MWE &DWD, Central Umbrealla of Water and Sanitation Members from the Kiboga District Local Government, the contractor Tashil Ug Ltd and Kol Services, Joint Ventures and the consulting Engineers for the project.
